Mind Boosters book questions
Q. I have read Mind Boosters book. Thank you for the information.
Are there any reasons why a person with depression, lack of concentration and fatigue may not receive any positive benefits from taking the maximum amount of all of the following mind boosting supplements (in combination or separately), even if they are taking the appropriate co-factors and their blood tests suggests that they are in good general health? The mind boosters I am referring to include SAMe, TMG, DMG, methionine, DMAE, alpha GPC, Choline, CDP Choline, ALC or acetyl l-carnitine, CoQ10 or Coenzyme Q10, NADH, phenylalanine, tyrosine, 5-HTP, bacopa monnieri, Ginkgo biloba, and ginseng.
   A. We suggest learning how each herb or nutrient works by itself in your body and how it influences your mind before combining. We also suggest using low dosages at first. Many of these mind boosters can increase heart rate, increase energy to the point of being restless, or cause insomnia if used in high dosages. Not sleeping well can make depression worse.

Q. Are there natural supplements that can be effective as a treatment for Alzheimer's disease or Parkinson's disease?
   A. Many researchers are excited about the potential of natural vitamins, herbs, and supplements to be helpful in the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease. Mind Boosters book reviews some of this research and we are hopeful that future studies will shed additional light.
