Usage: Take 1/2 or 1 tablet SAM-e supplement in the morning a few minutes before breakfast or as directed by your qualified health consultant. Some people may do fine with a third of a tablet.

SAM-e 200 is manufactured under low temperature and low humidity and is enteric-coated to ensure a biologically active product.

Other Ingredients:  Cellulose, mannitol, hydroxpropyl methylcellulose phthalate, citric acid, sodium starch glycolate, glyceryl triacetate, modified cellulose gum, stearic acid, colloidal silicon dioxide, titanuium dioxide and yellow ochre.

SAM-e Side Effects
High doses of SAM-e could lead to overstimulation, anxiety, and insomnia. Stop the use of SAM-e for a few days if you experience these side effects, and then resume at a lower dose. Discuss with your doctor before use.

SAM-e supplement questions
Q. My friend recommended SAM-e supplement for mood improvement and another friend recommended tyrosine amino acid. Can both of these supplements be safely combined?
   A. Not really, unless the dosage of each is very small. Tyrosine can speed heart rate and cause anxiety, so can SAM-e when used in high dosages. Taking SAM-e and tyrosine together is not a good combination.

Q. I have been reading about SAM-e for mood disorders and also about St. John's wort herbal extract. I am not sure which one to take. How does one know which supplement is best?
   A. Since each person has a different response to supplements it is not easy to predict which product is the best one to choose. Sometimes it takes trial and error to find out which herb or nutrient will work best or to find the best combination. There is no easy answer.

Q. Which is a better supplement for mood enhancement, SAM-e or 5-HTP?
   A. SAM-e influences several neurotransmitters while 5-HTP focuses mostly on serotonin enhancement. Some people have low mood due mostly to serotonin deficiency whereas others may respond better to the neurotransmitters influenced by SAM-e such as dopamine and norepinephrine and perhaps others. It is difficult to predict any one person's reaction to these supplements. It takes trial and error and trying different dosages.

Q. My doctor put me on the prescription antidepressant medication Wellbutrin and I was wondering if SAM-e supplements can be taken with Wellbutrin.
   A. We suggest not taking them the same day. Wellbutrin and SAM-e are potent and there could be potential side effects such as rapid heart beat and insomnia if they are combined.

Thanks for your website.  What a wealth of information!  I understand that it is not recommended to take both SAM-e and Passion Rx the same day.  What is your opinion on taking SAM-e and Passion RX on alternating days?
    Most people can do this regimen without problems but it is not possible to guarantee that 100 percent of users will find it tolerable. If insomnia or overstimulation occurs, take a day or two off.
