Q. What is the right dosage of kudzu root and how often should one take it for alcohol cessation?
   A. Research with kudzu and alcohol use has not been studied thoroughly in humans in the West, therefore the answers are not clear. As with any supplement, it is best best to start with a low dose and see over the next few days whether you need more or even less. Sometimes tral and error is the best way to find out if kudzu or other supplements are appropriate for you.

Q. Can kudzu root extract be taken indefinately for months or years?
    A. Long term human studies are not available, and hence we suggest taking a day or two off each week and at least one week off every two months.

Kudzu plant information
Kudzu plant is native to Japan and China and was introduce to the United States in the late 1800s. Kudzu vine now grows well in several Southeastern states including Alabama and Florida. Kudzu is a vine that when left uncontrolled will eventually grow over almost any fixed object in its proximity including other vegetation, buildings, rooftops, and anything else in its surroundings. Kudzu vine is sometimes referred to as "the plant that ate the South", a reference to how kudzu's explosive growth has been most prolific in the southeastern United States due to nearly ideal growing conditions.
