Dec, 2008 - Stevia approved as sweetener by FDA
The Food and Drug Administration has declared the herb stevia safe for use in foods and beverages, which allows Coca-Cola Co., PepsiCo Inc. and other companies to market it in a variety of products. Coke introduced a reduced-calorie version of Sprite, called Sprite Green, and some Odwalla juice drinks with stevia extract. Pepsi has SoBe Lifewater, and an orange-juice drink called Trop50, containing half the calories and sugar of orange juice.

Q. How many drops of clear stevia liquid is needed for lemon juice is a glass?
   A. You may used 10 to 20 clear stevia liquid drops in a glass of lemonade.

Q. Can I use stevia liquid in a cup of tea?
   A. Yes, two or three drops of stevia liquid should be sufficient.

Q. Can stevia liquid be added to cacao powder?
   A. Yes, stevia liquid can be added to cocoa powder.

Q. Does stevia liquid have side effects?
   A. No side effects have been reported thus far.

Q. Your web page does not mention what amounts of stevia liquid to place in a glass of cup of tea. Could you please list the proportions as to how much water per glass of lemonade or ounce of cup of tea? That is important for anyone considering the price per cup or glass. We make pitchers of tea daily so that would take more than a few drops of liquid.
   A. It is usually 2 or 4 drops for tea or 10 to 20 drops for lemonade for the stevia clear liquid for 8 ounces. But there are individual preferences and some people may need more if they are used to a sweeter taste or they may need less if they are sensitive to sweetness.

Q. Does your liquid contain corn-based cellulose like the powdered versions? I am allergic to corn and unable to use most stevia products.
   A. It does not.

Stevia side effects - safety, danger of products
We are not aware of stevia side effects. Stevia is safe and presents no danger. We have been selling stevia products for several years and we have not had one report of adverse effects or problems. We have reviewed stevia studies and no significant adverse events have been reported in the medical literature.

   A. We have no reason to believe stevia products interfere with nutritional supplements, multivitamins, or any prescription medications.
