Formulated by Dr. Ray Sahelian, M.D., natural healing expert

CoQ10 50mg, or Coenzyme Q10, is a Dietary Supplement. This nutrient is also known as ubiquinone. We also carry the reduced form of ubiquinone called ubiquinol.

CoQ10 contains pure, pharmaceutical grade coenzyme Q10. CoQ10 is a nutrient involved in energy production within mitochondria of cells.

This is the natural form of CoQ10 imported from Japan. Great value for natural CoQ10 50mg. For maximum absorption, take CoQ10 50mg with a meal, preferably breakfast.

We sell other dosages of CoQ10 such as 30 mg, 60 mg, and 100 mg. We do not sell CoQ10 dosages higher than 100 mg for the reasons listed at the bottom of this page.

CoQ10 Pill Questions:
Q. I have seen websites that sell 200 mg of CoQ10 and even 300 mg CoQ10 pills. They claim research has been done with these high CoQ10 dosages.
   A. It is true that high dosages of CoQ10 such as 300 mg or 600 mg and even higher have been tested. However, one must keep in mind that when researchers do a study, they have limited time and in order to elicit a response, they use high amounts of an herb, nutrient, or drug. But, this does not mean that these high amounts of daily CoQ10 are approriate to take forever. Taking too high doses of antioxidants or certain supplements is not necessarily desirable. Until more long term research is availalbe, we suggest keeping the dosage of CoQ10 to less than 50 mg a day and taking 2 or 3 days off a week, unless your doctor has a different treatment plan for your individual condition. High doses of CoQ10 pills can actually cause fatigue in some people.

Q. I have been reading about CoQ10 and apparetnly it is found in many foods but I am trying to find out exactly what a CoQ10 pill is made of? In other words is CoQ10 an extract that comes from fish, vegetables, coral?  Just exactly what is the source of CioQ10 and what is the process it undergoes? Is it a simple process like removing sea salt from sea water. What exactly is the process and what exactly is the source?
   A. CoQ10 used to be extracted from animal hearts, but now CoQ10 is synthesized in a laborator by a fermentation process. Many labs in Japan have different patents on the synthesis of CoQ10 and we don't know exactly how they create it. It is a complicated process.

Q. Is it helpful to take coenzyme q10 pills when supplementing with a red yeast rice pill?
   A. This is a good question and we are not aware of good studies on this topic to make a recommendation.
