This grape seed extract is of extremely high quality full of potent antioxidants called polyphenols. Polyphenols include anthocyanins, procyanidins and related beneficial compounds. Grape seed extract product questions
Q. Have there been any studies with grape seed extract supplements in humans that people have taken for several years to see what benefits and grape seed extract side effects can occur?
   A. We are not aware of long term, human grape seed extract supplement research. As with most herbs and natural products that have not had long term trials, it is best to take breaks from use, for instance one week a month. Grape seed extract supplements appear to be safe, but just to be cautious, it is a good idea to take a few days off each month.

Q. Which is more potent as an antioxidant, grape seed extract, mangosteen, goji berry, acai berry, carnosie, acetyl l-carnitine, pomegranate extract or cacao extract?
   A. Rather than focusing on comparing the antioxidant benefits of different supplements, we prefer people alternate their use rather than relying on one particular supplement. All the herbs and nutrients you mention are healthy additions to one's supplement program, but taking them all together may not necessarily be healthy. You can take 2 or 3 a day and alternate their use.

Q. Thank you for the information you have made easily accessible. I appreciate that you make supplements available not easily purchased elsewhere. I have been using TwinLab Grape Seed Extract for years and have been consistently impressed with its quality. I had some experience with an inferior, substandard version. Now I am perhaps confusing "inexpensive" with "inferior." When I read the Club Natural label and compare it to the TwinLab label, it seems that the products should have equivalent quality. Yet because the Club Natural version is so much less expensive than any price for which I can buy the TwinLab, I seem to think that means the product itself is inferior to TwinLab's. Can you explain why this grape seed product could be high quality, yet not expensive?
   A. The price of a supplement does not necessarily reflect the quality. Big companies such as Twinlab may have a high overhead to cover corporate costs. Club Natural is a smaller company and since web site sales are very competitive, we keep our prices low to build a strong customer base. It is possible that as we gain more customers and market share, we could raise our prices.
