Andrographis paniculata is an herb commonly used in China, India, Southeast Asia, and some subtropical countries. Both the fresh and dried andrographis leaves, as well as the fresh juice of the whole plant, have been used in a variety of cultures.

Directions: One Tablet twice daily for no more than 14 days at a time, or as recommended by your health care professional. It is suggested to take breaks from use of many herbs. Andrographis paniculata questions:Q. What is the chemical composition of andgrographis paniculata herb? A. Some of the compounds in andrographis paniculata are diterpene lactones known as andrographolides. Andrographis contains andrographolide, deoxyandrographolide and neoandrographolide. Andrographis contains many flavonoids.
Q. How often should I take andrographis? A. Andrographis paniculata herb may be used for a couple of weeks at a time, but until more human research is available it may be a good idea not take this herbal supplement for prolonged periods without breaks.
Q. Does andrographis paniculata have side effects? A. No long term human studies are available to determine if continued use of andrographis has side effects. To be cautious, use andrographis supplement no longer than 2 weeks at a time.
Q. What is the right dosage of andrographis? A. Since adequate human research in humans regarding the use of an andrographis supplement is not available, at this time, it is difficult to say what the right dosage of andrographis paniculata would be.
Q. Can andrographis paniculata supplement be taken the same day as astragalus or a mushroom extract? A. There are many unanswered questions about long term use of andrographis and other herbs that influence the immune system. Unfortunately clear cut answers are not available since each person's immune system is different from another's.
Q. Does andographis herb effect sperm production? I read on a web site that one mouse study indicates the influence of sperm production. A. We have seen one human study with androphraphis herb and it did not show this herb to reduce sperm production.
Q. Can an andrographis supplement be taken together with cop10 or other supplements? A. This is a case by case decision that has to be made by reviewing a person's whole medical history and other supplements and medications a person may be taking. There is no obvious conflict, but your health practitioner would make the final decision.
