This could mean either taking Passion Rx one capsule every other day instead of 2 days on one day off, or to open a capsule by pulling on each end and emptying half the amount in a small glass of water or juice. If you take half a capsule, then you can take it 3 days on, one day off. The capsule can be closed after using half and the rest taken another day.
