Q. I recently purchased several bottles of your L-Tyrosine supplement (500mg x 30caps), along with some other natural products. Since then, I've read that tyrosine supplementation may be more effective if it is taken as a multivitamin-mineral complex, mainly because vitamins B6, folic acid and the copper mineral help in its conversion.
  A. We do not think it is necessary to take other vitamins and minerals along with it since most people have plenty of these already in their body to convert this amino acid and metabolize it.

Q. Regarding L-Tyrosine dosage: I've read papers online that have studied plasma tyrosine concentration in regular subjects, and the dosage in the studies confirm 100mg/kg/day is a suitable dosage. Since my mass is 76kg, this would amount to 7.6g per day, which is approx. 15 x 500mg caps. I note however that the dosage instructions on the bottle state "As a dietary supplement take 1 capsule daily with or without meals" It seems to me there's a pretty big difference between 1 capsule per day and 15 capsules. Am I misunderstanding anything?
   A. Sometimes research studies miss obvious adverse reactions that people in real life settings experience. An amount greater than 500 mg often causes nervousness, increased heart rate and anxiety.
